The NABA-DC Luncheon with Former Ambassador Keith Harper has been rescheduled for Wendesday, May 3, 2017!
Before we kick off our first official Brownbag, we’d like to invite our DC summer interns interested in Indian law and policy to a special lunch next Tuesday, June 6 where you’ll have the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with members of the NABA-DC Executive Board. This will be a great opportunity to network and “pick our brains” as we’ll informally share advice/tips on being a professional in the DC Indian law and policy community.
Food will be provided. Although attendance is not mandatory, please make every effort to attend as we will be sharing some important information regarding our summer programming. Please RSVP here:https://goo.gl/forms/
Full event details below. Please note this is an event for INTERNS only. Please spread the word! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

NABA-DC will be holding a general membership meeting on Tuesday, June 13th, at 6:30pm. DOWNLOAD the agenda here.
During the meeting, NABA-DC’s members will be voting on a resolution regarding federal public lands, which was proposed by a NABA-DC member. This proposal corresponds with a resolution NNABA is currently considering. DOWNLOAD the proposed resolution here.
The NABA-DC Board is pleased to invite the greater D.C. area Native community and Indian Country advocates to join us for a potluck community dinner and discussion this Thursday, August 31 at 6:30 pm at the Friends Meeting of Washington Assembly Room.
In the wake of the Charlottesville violence and emboldened white nationalism, many are asking what they can do to make an impact against the hate. By bringing our community together, we’d like to hear your ideas on how we collectively move forward and how NABA-DC can support those efforts. We’ll also be discussing response actions the NABA-DC board is currently taking.
Most importantly, we want to hear from you about what you think the next steps should be, as a community going forward, both short term and long term.
Please bring your appetite, questions, ideas, and energy. Side dishes and desserts to share are welcome but not required! The Friends Meeting of Washington is located at 2111 Florida Ave NW, Washington, D.C.
We look forward to seeing you there!
NABA-DC are excited to offer our members a group swearing in to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar on Tuesday October 10, 2017.
