Every year, the Native American Bar Association of Washington, D.C. organizes a brownbag lunch series for summer interns working in the field of Indian law and policy.
Brownbag lunch hosts include government agencies, law firms, and non-profit organizations. The lunch series provides an opportunity for interns to learn about the work of the many organizations involved in Indian law and policy in DC as well as network with fellow interns and potential employers.

CNAY and the NMAI Internship Program invite Native American youth under the age of 25 who are currently in Washington, DC, to join us for an evening networking reception. Youth will meet young DC Native professionals, learn about other internship programs, win door prizes, and explore opportunities to get involved in the Generation Indigenous initiative. Join us for a fun networking event for emerging Native professionals!
NABA-DC will hold a luncheon on Friday, October 21, 2016 to discuss Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) litigation. Speakers will address recent developments, particularly focusing on equal protection challenges to ICWA. Lunch will be provided.
Speakers will include Sam Daughety, attorney at Dentons, and Kaitlyn Klass, attorney at Hobbs Straus Dean & Walker. Time for questions, answers, and discussion will follow.
The luncheon is open to the first 25 NABA-DC members who RSVP. You must be a current member to attend. We will keep a waiting list if we go over the 25-member limit. Out of courtesy, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you must cancel.
