The NABA-DC Board is pleased to invite the greater D.C. area Native community and Indian Country advocates to join us for a potluck community dinner and discussion this Thursday, August 31 at 6:30 pm at the Friends Meeting of Washington Assembly Room.
In the wake of the Charlottesville violence and emboldened white nationalism, many are asking what they can do to make an impact against the hate. By bringing our community together, we’d like to hear your ideas on how we collectively move forward and how NABA-DC can support those efforts. We’ll also be discussing response actions the NABA-DC board is currently taking.
Most importantly, we want to hear from you about what you think the next steps should be, as a community going forward, both short term and long term.
Please bring your appetite, questions, ideas, and energy. Side dishes and desserts to share are welcome but not required! The Friends Meeting of Washington is located at 2111 Florida Ave NW, Washington, D.C.
We look forward to seeing you there!
