NABA-DC May Happy Hour @ Black Finn | Washington | District of Columbia | United States
Please join us next Thursday, May 18 at 5:30 p.m. for a special NABA Happy Hour event at Blackfinn Ameripub DC. As many of you may know, Dawn Baum will be leaving D.C. to start her new career and adventure in Northern California as General Counsel with The Yurok Tribe. Dawn has been a leader and mainstay of NABA-DC and the greater DC Native community, serving on the Executive Board as Secretary in 2006-2007 and as President in 2010-2011. Dawn also established the NABA-DC awards program that is now an annual event through which NABA-DC recognizes outstanding contributions to the Indian law field and community. We are saddened and thrilled for Dawn’s next chapter as we bid farewell to a wonderful attorney, leader, mentor, colleague and friend. Blackfinn will be extending their Happy Hour specials to 7:30 pm for the group and the NABA-DC board will be purchasing a farewell gift that you are welcome to contribute to. If you would like to contribute, please contact Xavier Barraza at xavierbarraza@gmail.com.
