NABA Summer Intern Welcome Lunch (RSVP TODAY!) @ Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP
Jun 6 @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Before we kick off our first official Brownbag, we’d like to invite our DC summer interns interested in Indian law and policy to a special lunch next Tuesday, June 6 where you’ll have the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with members of the NABA-DC Executive Board. This will be a great opportunity to network and “pick our brains” as we’ll informally share advice/tips on being a professional in the DC Indian law and policy community.

Food will be provided. Although attendance is not mandatory, please make every effort to attend as we will be sharing some important information regarding our summer programming. Please RSVP here:https://goo.gl/forms/yvpX8uwfV2z4iBW62.

Full event details below. Please note this is an event for INTERNS only. Please spread the word! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

NABA-DC has reserved a group visit to the imagiNATIONS Activity Center from 1:30pm to 2pm. Facilitators will be teaching the older kids string games, and younger kids can play in the area. Kids wanting to participate in string games will need a ticket. Tickets are limited, so please let us know ASAP if you no longer plan to use your ticket.

NMAI is also holding an event entitled “Winter Blast: A Family Weekend of Native Games” in the main area of the museum from 10am until 5:30pm. After our group visit to the imagiNATIONS Activity Center, we can check this event out, too.

Last, NMAI’s new exhibit entitled “Americans” is set to open on January 18th. The exhibit highlights the ways in which American Indians have been part of the nation’s identity since before the country began.

We hope you can make it! If you RSVP using the link in this message, we will reach out to you closer to the event date with additional information.
